Contentment is about being present on your journey while reflecting on the past, and striving toward a future. It's evolving. It's movement. It's awakening to our true potential.
Complacency is stopping the evolution. It's sitting on the side of the road and refusing the change the flat tire. It say's things like "good enough" and "that'll do". It stops striving to know, grow, or do more. Complacency is the enemy of potential.
Don't let your contentment evolve into complacency. The difference is slight, but the consequences are dangerous.
Scott Miker says, " Contentment goes hand in hand with gratitude." As soon as you stop appreciating where you've been and what you have, you'll likely start turning contentment into complacency.
